Explanation to the chipper overview

The information in the tables has been provided by the manufacturers.

In the market review those mobile chippers with cutting tools have been collected that can chip at least 10 cm thick wood. Machines with a principally crushing action have not been considered.

If the chips have to be used as fuel for heating purposes or as a basis for further use, then one should consider the requirements for the size of the chips. These requirements should be a part of the delivery contract for the machine.

The basic modules of all chippers in the review consist of: the feed system, the chip rotor and a ventilator. All other modules are delivered on demand and have often to be ordered. These modules are: an undercarriage, turntable, mounted engine, chips container, crane and special feed and load features.

To improve the overview the chippers have been sub-divided in the tables according to:
